French Hotel Group Sofitel and Karl Lagerfeld on a new emblem!! Sofitel taps the famous designer to design the new emplem for their new Sofitel So Singapore, slated to open the 1rst of July, as the brand continues their expansion in Asia. The new emblem will symbolize the hotel's style and will appear on different items for guest to use. The logo will only be unveiled this spring. The five-star hotel, which will include 134 guest rooms, 23 of thoses being suites, is housed in an former telecommunications and postal building, which was builded in 1927. Lagerfeld's design prowess would confer the ultimate touch of refinement and enhance their concept, according to the chief executive officer of Sofitel Luxury, as the hotel operator applies the So name to their hotels that are "characterized by a stylish focus on contemporary design by famous architects and/or embellished by international celebrities from the world of fashion, design or art". Other examples include Christian Lacroix collaborating with Sofitel So Bangkok, creating their "tree of life" emblem and Kenzo Takada collaborating with Sofitel So Mauritius.
