Here is something to look forward to on Monday.. Paris Fashion Week Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2013 is starting, from the 21rst to the 24th.

Little Haute Couture reminder for the occasion!!

The only real Haute Couture is from Paris and the term Haute Couture is protected by the law.

The term Couturier can only be used for designers meeting some requirements like:

- Twice a year, the Couturier needs to prepare and present a collection of 35 pieces.

- The Couturier has to limit the designs he sells to one design per collection, per country.

- The Couturier must to be accepted by the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture in Paris.

- Each Couturier needs to have an atelier with at least 20 assistants, in Paris also.

- Finally, the Couturiers present runway collections, from the maisons, called Haute Couture.
