Last week it was Paris Fashion Week Couture S/S 2013 and on friday, some the biggest houses debuted their Haute Joaillerie collections in Paris!!

Boucheron

Snakes are a big trend this year.. but the Boucheron house has been featuring them for over a 100 years. For this season, Boucheron decided to dig up the archives and polish their designs of their first Serpent collection of 1968, giving them a more contemporary look, featuring sculpted gold, beading and the house's signature snow setting. The Serpent rings come with one head or two and in three sizes. The Serpent pendants with honeycomb backs can be mounted as brooches on gold safety pins or worn as necklaces.

Chanel

For the first time ever, the house decided to dedicate their entire jewelry collection to a single theme.. the camellia. All ninety-nine pieces feature the flower in all shapes and forms, from mounted into 3-D diamond swirls, flattened into graphic diamond pavé engraved with a black spinel border, to sculpted in white coral and onyx, articulated in a colorful origami of pink sapphires and other stones, and fashioned into a diamond, lacquer and gold ring, a rendition of Coco Chanel's celebrated Coromandel screens.

Dior

Victoire de Castellane, creative director of Joaillerie for Dior, will present her new collection in July, so to keep us waiting, she presented a curated selection of additions to existing collections. It includes a trio of slimmer caned rings and bracelets in the My Dior collection, a rose shaped ring with emeralds and diamonds in the Toi et Moi collection, a garden-inspired necklace anchored by a sizable emerald in the Les Précieuses collection and a set of antique cameos mounted into earring for the Coffret collection. Also, the house's watch lines are growing fast.. with additions like a colored gems offset black or white ceramic settings in the Dior 8 collection, to a trio of Mini D watches featuring fuchsia, turquoise, or neon yellow bands.

Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton is expanding the Vuitton galaxy as in continues its travel through time, with new takes on classic motifs. For example, the house showed new iterations of its lacy, articulated "knife edge" settings on a collar necklace. Also featured, were delicate bracelets mounted with the house's classic star and flower cut diamonds, and a monogram Infini fractal mandala. Don't forget that Louis Vuitton opened their new Place Vendôme boutique and workshop in 2012.
