Miuccia Prada is collaborating with The Glitzy Great Gatsby movie for costumes and the first sketches are out. Prada partnered with Baz Luhrmann and costume designer Catherine Martin to design 40 dresses, from cocktail to evening, which are adapted from past Miu Miu and Prada collections of the 20 last years. The sketches include a blue multi-striped sequins dress inspired from the Prada S/S 2011 collection and a fish-scale sequin embroidery dress in bright orange inspired by the Prada Fall 2011 collection. The movie will come out in May. The collaboration of Muccia Prada and Luhrmann is not surprising since, being friends for a long time, they also worked together on the Romeo & Juliet movie and a series of short films that were features in the Met's Shiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversation exhibit.
