Maison Martin Margiela was the last show of the day, yesterday, for Paris Fashion Week Couture S/S 2013. It's the second season of the house's up-cycling concept for its Artisanal collection, on the Couture runway. The thought provoking collection included eco elements, sleeveless minimalist blazers and many other interesting outfits, from re-purposed twenties evening dresses transformed into outwear to a boat-necked dress made out of strips of Deco-era floral embroideries and fake brushstrokes made out of silk thread embroidery. Of course, the 19-piece collection's designers are still officially anonymous as the brand prefers to focus on the clothes. Interesting fact: Designers, instead of your traditional BRIC billionaires, like Raf Simons and Nicola Formichetti were in the audience. Kanye West was also present and wishes to buy the masks!!
